Hello Wealthy-Human!

I hope this week has treated you well.

World/Finance

This week, tech has really scared me. I’m serious.

Neuralink, started by Elon Musk in 2016, just made a big move.

Neuralink is a company developing technology for the brain.

The first patient of Neuralink has been implanted with a basically invisible chip.

The Neuralink implanted patient can move a computer mouse by thinking.

“We are currently focused on giving people with quadriplegia the ability to control their computers and mobile devices with their thoughts. We are currently focused on giving people with quadriplegia the ability to control their computers and mobile devices with their thoughts” (Neuralink).

However, this is still scary to me. What is the future holding for us?

Nvidia’s record-breaking earnings: The AI chipmaker (NVDA) reported better results for the latest quarter than expected, sending its shares soaring to new highs and pushing its market value close to $2 trillion. Nvidia’s revenue rose 64% year-over-year to $9.71 billion, beating analysts’ estimates of $9.28 billion. Its earnings per share also surpassed expectations, coming in at $4.52 versus $4.41 forecast. Nvidia’s strong performance was driven by its gaming and data center segments, which saw robust demand for its graphics cards and chips.

Capital One’s deal to buy Discover: The credit card giant (COF) announced that it agreed to acquire Discover Financial (DFS) for $22.5 billion in cash and stock, creating the largest U.S. credit card issuer by purchase volume. The deal, which is expected to close in the second half of 2024, will combine Capital One’s strength in digital banking and innovation with Discover’s loyal customer base and rewards program. The combined company will have over 100 million cardholders and $500 billion in annual purchase volume

Self-Development

Taking 5 minutes to do a simple task can change your life.

This week, I found out about Amie. I can’t express how good it is.

You can essentially sync up Google Calendar, Todoist, and many other applications to an all-in-one calendar.

That isn’t it. There is a list of to-dos.

Currently, there are a couple different versions, including a free plan.
